    What happens to your file

WAV files are common for audio editing, recording, sound effects, mastering, but not every app or device opens them. OGG is ideal for games, open-source apps, web audio. Spool converts WAV to OGG with FFmpeg — real decoding and encoding, not a renamed file extension.

Lossless → lossy. WAV keeps every sample; OGG discards sounds that are hard to hear to save space. Choose 320 kbps for critical listening, 192 kbps for everyday use, or 128 kbps for voice.
